Ladybug CVC Clip Card Reading Activity
Students will pick a card and look at the word on the ladybug. Then, they will sound out the word by segmenting each sound and then blending them together to read the word out loud.
Next, they will look at the picture choices and choose the one that matches the word by clipping it with a clothespin or marking it with an object.
Students could use these CVC word cards during literacy centers, soft-start morning routines, small groups, and more.
They are perfect for kindergarten and first-grade students to practice sounding out short vowel CVC words in centers or independently.
