The peripheral rotor illustrates that, while Carl F. Bucherer has a history dating back generations, the brand is also committed to modern techniques. In 2007, it acquired Techniques Horlogères Appliquées (THA), the complications maker founded by master watchmakers Vianny Halter, François-Paul Journe, and Denis Flageollet. Soon after this acquisition, Bucherer introduced the first serially-produced peripheral rotor movement. Since then, the peripheral winding system has proliferated through Carl F. Bucherer’s catalog.
